Languages Without Borders (LWB), the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers' (CASLT), biennial conference, is coming to Fredericton, May 2-4, 2019.  The Second Language Research Institute of Canada (at UNB) is pleased to partner with CASLT to bring this national professional development opportunity to Atlantic Canada. More than 200 educators will gather at the Fredericton Convention Centre to attend a wide array of professional development sessions, view new pedagogical resources, and benefit from ample networking opportunities. TESLNB invites members to start considering ways they wish to contribute to LWB 2019. If you wish to submit a proposal for a session, or are interested in volunteering before or at the event, please email us. More information to come in the next few months, but please do not hesitate to reach out now if you have an idea to share!

Strands at LWB will include EAL – English for newcomers in English schools, ƒ FSL – Core, immersion & intensive French,ƒ ESL – English in francophone schools, ƒ FAL – Newcomers in francophone schools, ƒ Indigenous languages (local and national), and ƒ International and heritage languages (Japanese, German, Spanish, Gaelic…).
